Mrs Hinch fans rave about £1.50 ‘damp tray’ to help get rid of condensation this winter

DURING the winter months, condensation and mould can quickly become a real issue – for both our health and our bank balance.

While many would turn to dehumidifier’s in the past, the cost-of-living crisis means purse strings are a little tighter this year – and so that’s no longer a solution for many.

But there’s so need to worry, as it turns out there’s a much simpler and cheaper way to resolve the issue from reoccurring in the future.

Avid cleaning fans have taken to a Mrs Hinch-inspired Facebook to share a very handy hack that can help to banish condensation.

And best of all – it costs as little as £1.50.

As reported by The Mirror, the initial post that sparked the conversation read: “How can I stop condensation without it costing a fortune please” with a prayer hand emoji.

And the woman wasn’t short of answers as homeowners flooded to the comments section with suggestions.

One woman strongly suggested purchasing a Stamp Out The Damp dehumidifier from Clean Zone, which is sold in Wilko.

For those who aren’t aware, the miracle product basically consists of a plastic tub filled with absorbent pellets that help to reduce moisture from the air.

A second agreed: “These are really good even if there is only a little bit of dampness and not too expensive.”

Elsewhere, a woman named Fenrah Alesari took to TikTok and suggested putting your cat litter into an old sock or tights and spreading them around your “damp-defying monstrosities.”

“Great tip, thanks,” wrote one.
