James Gunn Baited Into Another SnyderVerse Debate

James Gunn avoided another career landmine by turning Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 into a huge success, but the director still insists on reacting to practically everything regarding the DCU on his Twitter feed.

Meanwhile, The Last of Us actor Pedro Pascal has just discussed his fears coming into this franchise, which was a first for him considering the indifference with which he usually approaches his roles.

James Gunn is now apparently willing to get into arguments over the SnyderVerse

Someone should really ask James Gunn to stop reacting to his haters on social media. The acclaimed filmmaker has now moved on from debunking rumors to getting into arguments, and that can’t really bode well for his reputation as he embarks on this bespoke DCU reboot. At least he’s really looking forward to The Flash, which could imply that there’s a future for certain SnyderVerse characters down the line. But it seems that so long as Warner Bros. doesn’t reinstate Zack Snyder and give him full control over the future of DC movies, there are always going to be people picking apart everything James Gunn does.

Pedro Pascal couldn’t help but feel a measure of dread coming into The Last of Us

Pedro Pascal originally didn’t understand the full gravitas of his part as Joel Miller in HBO’s The Last of Us adaptation, but learning how beloved the franchise is quickly turned that nonchalance into a crippling fear. “I have this sort of psychological game where I’m like ‘it’s no big deal, nobody cares, nobody gives a sh*t,’ you know what I mean?” He said recently. “And this time around, (laughs) I was scared. I was so scared.”
Knowing The Last of Us fandom and how ferocious they can get, we actually understand that sentiment perfectly.

via Insomniac / Sony Interactive Entertainment

Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Venom come together for another PlayStation-exclusive outing this Autumn. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the continuation of the acclaimed 2018 game, and going by the first 10-minute gameplay showcase, this sequel will have been well worth the wait. There isn’t much to be said about the game from a technical standpoint, but we have no doubt that traversing the open-world map will be more enjoyable than ever thanks to the power of PlayStation 5’s fast SSD.
